‘Pieces’ accepted for new horror/weird anthology

Pieces has been accepted by Anachron Press for its forthcoming horror/weird fiction anthology, Urban Occult. I’d had high hopes that the story would be right for the book, given its London setting and the modern, magic-based plot, but these things can never be taken for granted. It’s also the queerest story I’ve written in a while and I wanted it to appear somewhere outside the gay press. A contract has been signed and returned to the publisher (British this time) and the publication date is set for around February 2013. I’m very much looking forward to this one and am happy to note the anthology will also include stories by Gary McMahon and Gary Fry – big names, in Britain at least (please note: the rest of the authors in the anthology could well be household names, but I’m very much out of the loop these days).

    • It is, yes! And important to keep that momentum going, both in the final days of this year and the first of 2013. I do seem to have the ability to stumble on the right publishers more often than not.
